Leveraging its wafer-level precision manufacturing processes, Focuslight Technologies has developed precisely engineered V-groove arrays tailored for multi-channel applications such as optical modules, fiber connectors, PLC splitters in FTTX networks, and AWGs in WDM systems. For 96-channel configurations, the cumulative pitch tolerance is controlled within ±0.250 μm, ensuring accurate alignment of fiber arrays. This enhances coupling efficiency between multi-channel fibers and reduces optical signal transmission loss.

Focuslight Technologies is capable of manufacturing micro-optical components on 6- or 8-inch silicon or fused silica wafers using precision photolithography and reactive ion etching processes. Typical micro-lenses have a center thickness ranging from 0.3 to 3 mm, with sag heights up to 0.1 mm, and microlens array pitch accuracy within 0.3 μm. In addition to standard single-sided (a)spherical microlenses, the company can also fabricate (a)cylindrical microlenses, grooves with sizes between 2–20 μm, double-sided microlens structures with center alignment accuracy below 3 μm, and 45-degree micro-prisms on the backside of microlenses.

By aligning with micro-optical design objectives, the company can design and fabricate master molds and perform high-precision imprinting on 6-inch or 8-inch POG (Polymer on Glass) wafer substrates. This scalable wafer-level process enables high-volume production of micro-nano optical components.
