Focuslight Releases High Power Diode Laser Surface Treatment Systems

Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd. announced the release of a new product, High Power Diode Laser?Surface Treatment?Systems recently. The high-power diode laser head has a wavelength of 976nm and its power ranges from 500W-5000W. Its focal point has an mm-sized rectangle or square beam shape and it’s therefore the best choice for the material surface cladding, repairing and heat treatment. With a short wavelength and 50% high power conversion efficiency, the new product has a significant advantage over the traditional CO2? laser in regards of laser cladding and material surface treatment. From performance point of view, the stability of the diode laser is significantly higher than the CO2 laser. In terms of processing, the diode laser has a smaller heat affected zone, a stronger processing control, and its cladding and hardening quality is much higher than the CO2 laser. As to flexibility, the size of the diode laser is almost 1/30 of the CO2 laser, so the diode laser system can be used as a mobile laser processing station to repair and process the work piece that is inconvenient to move. Focuslight can also offer customers complete laser solutions by providing diode laser driver, laser output protections and control systems, and customers need only robot or other motion control tools to apply the laser systems.
