Focuslight was invited to attend the International Symposium Topical Problems of Nonlinear Wave Physics-NWP 2014 hosted in Russia during July 17th to 23th. This annual symposium was organized by the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. There were 178 participants from 15 countries attending the Symposium, Dr. Victor (Xingsheng) Liu - CEO of Focuslight was invited to present a talk at the Symposium.

The seminar started with a lively discussion on the theme of "peak power and high average power laser." Dr. Liu’s invited talk on "The latest progress in high-power semiconductor lasers” captured audience attention. The talk covers the following topics on semiconductor high power diode lasers: key technologies, development trends, latest technology progress, packaging advancement and testing/characterization methods.

Focuslight also shared comprehensive and in-depth experiences in high power diode lasers packaging technology especially highlighted the hard solder technology, a key to long product life.

This is first opportunity for Russia’s academic and research institute meet with Focuslight and have a chance to understand our capabilities, technologies expertise and services.? We are excited that since the conference, a few research institute and research scientist have started collaboration with Focuslight from the outcome of this seminar.
